Experience as a buyer and seller of my own business helped me better understand both sides of this complex equation. As a buyer, I personally went through the due diligence process many, many times during the pursuit of the right business. I know what to look for and where to look in order to verify the reported cash flows. As a seller of a business, personal experience was gained with respect to the challenge of running a business while dealing with potential buyers that really couldn’t afford the business anyway, competitors trying to get confidential information (like customer list), struggling with releasing enough information for buyers to make their decisions but not releasing too much information until the buyer proved they were a serious buyer and a host of other concerns sellers will have. A working knowledge of p&l statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements is a great asset for a Business Intermediary. Understanding both sides of the buy/sell process, financial statements and business operations is a huge advantage in assisting both buyers and sellers.

David has a strong civil engineering background, having been in the field for 28+ years with the State of California working on the interstate freeway system and the Water Resources Department bringing water from Northern Mountains to the Southern deserts in California.
He has also worked many facets in the real estate field including lending, buying/selling, and title insurance, since 1976 in the following states: California, Tennessee, Texas, Idaho, and Florida. Licensed as a broker/owner and various franchise companies.
David is a numbers guy, and numbers don’t lie. The bottom line for any business transaction, the numbers need to add up in their respective favor for the buyer or seller. David works hard to ensure that his clients walk away with a win/win situation. The seller can move on and retire or head in another direction. The buyer grabs the reigns and looks to the future with some additional capital, and some adjustment to get the full potential out of his/her investment.
David’s philosophy is that a business is like a fine vehicle, it needs to be taken care of by a knowledgeable mechanic. You must repair it, more capital infusion or possibly replace it, sell/trade for another type. Rest assured that he will roll up his sleeves and look under the hood at the company financials so you can decide, is it time to sell, buy a new one, or head to the golf Course? Let’s go for a free business evaluation and proceed well informed, instead of blindly wandering around in the dark.
